Charlotte
Registered Veterinary Technician
Ever since she was young, Charlotte has been passionate about animals great and small. Steve Irwin was her biggest role model, and she dreams of eventually working with wild animals in some capacity. While she considers herself a cat person, she still loves dogs, she also loves rats, ferrets, snakes, lizards, and birds. She’s been a vet tech since 2016, but recently joined the staff here in 2021.
Despite being born in California, she was raised in Indianapolis since she was 4 years old-even at a young age she wanted to work with animals, her first job idea being “pet detective”. Her first pet was a rat named Blackberry. She went through the Perry School District, and then went to International Business College’s Vet Tech Institute, graduating in 2015, and becoming licensed in 2016. She worked at a clinic down on the southside after graduation, until 2020, when the doctor shut the practice down, then started working at Indyvet. She missed the connection with clients that she got in GP, so when Dr. Speiser mentioned he had an opening for a technician at 30th street, she jumped at the opportunity.
When she’s not working at the clinic she’s playing video games, singing off key, or playing with her pets. She has 5 cats–9 year old male Bagheera, 9 year old female Sheva, 3 year old females Dinah and Freya, and 4 month old female Isis–and 2 dogs–10 year old male Chihuahua/Dachshund mix Toby, and 1 year old male mini poodle Merlot.
