T. C.
Client Services Representative
T.C. has been an animal lover all his life, but he’s also been a “people person” for as long as he can remember. T.C. is particularly fond of greeting clients and patients at the front desk and jumping in to help out in the exam rooms whenever needed.

Outside of work, T.C. is an avid gamer and also likes to dabble in video production. He has four dogs and a cat at home.
Kim Taylor
Veterinary Technician
Kim moved around quite a bit as a child, and her family’s Cocker Spaniel quickly became her best friend in the world. She cannot remember a time in her life when she wasn’t caring for pets! When the opportunity arose for her to enter the world of veterinary care, she didn’t hesitate. Now, Kim is proud to serve the pets and animal owners of Indianapolis as one of 30th Street Animal Hospital’s Veterinary Technicians.

Kim began her animal-care journey in DeLand, Florida, where she started working for a boarding kennel. She would remain there for the next seven years, developing a foundational knowledge of veterinary medicine that serves her well to this day. Next, Kim moved to North Carolina and signed on with a local clinic, learning even more from her boss and close confidant who had previously worked as a professor of veterinary medicine at Ohio State University.

After relocating to Indiana, Kim joined the 30th Street Animal Hospital family in January of 2006. She’s been serving the pets and animal parents of the area ever since—Kim especially enjoys performing dental procedures and forming lasting bonds with her patients and their owners. She’s also an avid pet foster parent, and is proud to have successfully raised, fostered, and re-homed hundreds of kittens over the years!

Kim and her husband have six children between them, as well as multiple grandchildren. They share their home with one cat, Romeo, as well as three dogs. When she isn’t spending time with her family and pets or tending to the area’s animal companions here at the clinic, Kim can be found relaxing with a good book or tending to her garden.
Abbey Martin
Veterinary Technician
Abbey is a pet owner herself. She knows just how she would like her own animal companions to be treated, so she strives to impart that level of care and comfort to the pet parents of the area here at 30th Street Animal Hospital! Abbey helps pets daily as a member of the clinic’s Veterinary Technician team.

Abbey is originally from Rantoul, Illinois and attended Austin Peay State University in Tennessee, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in agriculture with a concentration in veterinary technology. In total, she’s been working with animals professionally for more than eight years—she’s had experience in everything from shelter medicine and animal-control facilities to emergency and critical-care hospitals! Abbey’s favorite part of veterinary medicine, though, is getting to treat a variety of patients in general practice. She’s particularly fond of assisting with surgeries and performing dental cleanings.

When she’s not at work, Abbey enjoys playing the guitar, watching a good mystery movie on Netflix, and cuddling up with a good book and her two cats at home. Her feline companions are Lilo, a three-year-old female, and a two-year-old male named Salem.
Lindsay Curran
Client Services Representative
Lindsay decided to become a member of the veterinary profession for one simple reason: she’s always adored animals of all shapes and sizes, and wanted to give something back to the pets who have given her so much. Here at 30th Street Animal Hospital, she’s able to do just that every day! Lindsay serves the area’s pets and animal owners as a Client Services Representative.

Lindsay is originally from Florida but grew up here in Indianapolis. She launched her animal-care journey at another local pet-care facility, where she would hone her skills for nearly five years, and earned her animal behavior degree from Indiana University during that time. Lindsay interned with Bloomington Animal Care and Control and also completed an internship with the Indianapolis Zoo, where she got to work with wild birds and penguins. In September of 2018, she was thrilled to become a member of the 30th Street Animal Hospital family—Lindsay has been helping the area’s pets and animal parents ever since!

Lindsay’s interests outside of veterinary medicine include reading, acting, and spending time with her own pets at home. She has seven animal companions: Peanut Butter, Jasmine, Sophie, Clyve, Urby, Maleficent, and Sven.
Dr. Kelly Barnes
Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Kelly Barnes has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was six years old. She always felt a kinship with the family pets, and wanted to do everything in her power to improve their lives. For her, there was never another option—Dr. Barnes has always known that she was destined to help others’ pets as a licensed veterinarian!

Dr. Barnes grew up in Washington, D.C. until the age of 13, when she and her family moved to Nebraska. After high school, she relocated to Iowa to study veterinary medicine at Iowa State University, earning both her undergraduate and Doctoral degrees there. Dr. Barnes became a member of the 30th Street Animal Hospital family in May of 2003, and has been helping the pets and animal parents of Indianapolis ever since. For her, seeing a family overwhelmed with joy as their pet begins the road to recovery is the ultimate reward for her hard work!

Dr. Barnes and her husband, James, have a college-aged daughter and a pair of twins in high school. The family has six loveable pets: Rosie the Boston Terrier; a deaf Boxer/pit bull mix named LeBron James who regularly donates blood at the local emergency hospital; and four cats who go by Parnell, Pete, Mary, and Baby Kitty.

Outside of her interests in veterinary medicine, Dr. Barnes is fond of researching her family’s genealogy and traveling whenever the opportunity arises. Her husband owns a small passenger plane, and they’ve been fortunate to explore many new places by way of their airplane—most recently, the couple spent three amazing weeks in remote Alaska!
Nicole Anderson
Client Services Representative
Like every member of the 30th Street Animal Hospital family, Nicole has adored animals ever since her earliest days. She’s also been helping others in the customer service industry for 20 years. When the opportunity arose for her to combine her experience in client care with her love for pets, she jumped at the chance! Nicole is a proud member of the clinic’s Client Services Representative team.

Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Nicole graduated from high school as a state champion in basketball, and continued on to play college ball at Southern Wesleyan University in South Carolina. After playing for two years and dealing with a few injuries, she made the decision to take a new path—Nicole moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and launched her career in retail management. She would spend the next two decades making sure customers had a great experience each and every time!

As the retail world continued to change, Nicole decided to look for another career path and get back to something she had always loved: animals. That’s when she joined the team here at 30th Street Animal Hospital! Nicole couldn’t be happier with her choice, and she loves to meet and greet pet owners and their adorable companions here at the clinic.

Nicole’s interests away from the office include camping, enjoying a great IPA by the fire, and hiking with her four dogs—Sammy, Bruno, Harley, and Belle. She also loves to cheer on her favorite basketball teams, the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Tennessee Lady Vols.
